R.G. Wilson-Lyons has been serving as a pastor in the North Alabama Conference since 2006 and was appointed to serve at Birmingham First United Methodist Church in June of 2016. R.G. is married to Mary Page Wilson-Lyons who is the Strategic Initiatives Director for the Women’s Fund of Greater Birmingham. They live in Crestwood with their preschool daughter Nina. R.G. has been an Alabama fan for his whole life but also pulls for the Duke Bluedevils in basketball as he is an alumni of Duke’s Divinity School. R.G. loves to play most any sport, but especially basketball, tennis, and disc golf. He is also an avid hiker and camper and his favorite vacation destinations are places that have mountains to climb.
